Jeff,

I don't think a 1250 is enough servo for the rudder, especially if you plan on doing knife edges.

I have a 140 in mine and it's more than enough power. The plane weighs 24.5 pounds dry. In my opinion 120N would be the ideal powerplant. If I were doing one now I'd put in one of the new 120's...

You could try asking Skymaster to send you some touch up paint. Tell them it's due to shipping damage and they shouldn't charge you. My experience in the past is that what they send isn't...

Jeff,

Have you checked to see if your homeowners and AMA insurance will cover your loss? I believe AMA covers thefts up to $1000.

Jeff,

That really sucks! I hope you find it OK. Sometimes it's hard to judge distance and downed planes are a lot further out than you'd think.

Good luck,

I wouldn't put it there. In spite of your statement to the contrary, it is right next to the hottest part of the turbine. If that's the only spot that will work then I recommend heat shielding the...

I didn't like the idea of having 5 airlines to connect/unconnect in each wing. I was able to eliminate 2 from each wing by using button valves to control the gear door cylinders.

Jeff,

250mm is a good place to start. I maidened mine at 245 and it was a bit nose heavy. I'm now at 255mm.
I have 3 mm. UP trim with full flaps, no crow.
Good luck with the maiden.

In my opinion a 100 would be the minimum for this plane. The right engine is a 120. It should come out about 24# dry and about 30# TO weight. So you be the judge.
It also depends on whether...

You'll have to sand and fit each block carefully so that it just fits in the space available. You don't want to distort the upper wing skin.

I got mine in 2012 with the same issue. You would think that Skymaster would have fixed it by now.

My thoughts exactly! Just don't go inverted when the saddles are empty and there's only 1/3 left in the center tank. Of course by that time you're on the ground.

I also moved the pick-up opening on the center tank similar to Bob, except mine is about 1/3 up from the bottom to allow the clunk to reach bottom. It works fine that way.
