With all due respect ,
Just this one time only ,lets talk about honest price .

Our parts are professionally designed by distinguished engineers, they are manufactured by the latest technology be it extremely high accuracy laser printers , CNC milling , advanced high prescision composite manufacturing process. Not like what I’ve seen in general on the market in the past 40 years although some do .... and their prices are accordingly..

We actually meet their prices and are even below that while we offer higher overall quality in every way aspect ..

Thinking of it .... I only came across two or three companies who did structural analysis on their products ( all western companies from renown brands ..however it didn’t keep the general public here not to rush and buy the other far eastern ones products without even blinking an eye :-))))

Final words on this .
Here we are , we will offer extremely high end products , we guarantee quality, with 100% money back guarantee if one is not satisfied from what he gets .

Peter, thank you for taking the time to explain the price point.
I don't know the background of the developpment of your fans. If you have a strong engineering process and studies for them, then the price is fair.
I bought the ones from Mibo, because they are doing what is expected without so much troubles from what I know and they were available at that time.
Are you offering them in other scale ? Or you plan only the 1/5.8th size ?

There is one part that would be awesome but unfortunately, I don't think any company will take the time to design a model for it, is the GAU-8/A canon. For display purpose, it would be awesome to have a true scale model of it !

All scale sizes .. yes
we can do the GAU-8/A canon or any other part that we can get our hands on valid data for it ...

Just finished a rough assessment on the GAU GUN ...
we can do it , at 1/5.8 scale it is 40cm long !
With the gun bullet chain too .. and it’s display stand . Museum piece

Crazy stuff indeed .,

We’re looking at +1500€ Non assembled or painted for the first ones ..

I’m ready to CG. With all the extra stuff in the nose, I’m still about 1 inch tail heavy! And that was with the palm of my hands! I’m going to have to figure out how to CG this bad boy!

Wow Rav, looking good! The best way to CG (and weigh) that big boy is with an electronic balancer, such as the Xicoy, if you or somebody near you has one. When I balanced mine, back in the day, I made a contraption out of 2 x 4's (see photo), wide enough to fit the wings outside the fuselage and high enough to clear the gear. I protected the wings where they rested on the balancer with some rectangular plywood pieces taped to the bottom and marked with the CG. Takes at least two people to set the plane on the balancer and hold it steady while you experiment with adding weight to the nose, but it works!

Don't worry about adding some lead in the nose to get the CG correct. Most of us have had to do that and I think I have at least a pound up there. With this jet, you will never know the difference.
Wish I was out there to see the maiden flight!

Craig

Thanks Craig! And good idea on taping some support on the wings.

I was thinking about making a thin former somehow that mates between the fuse and wing and CG it like that.

But I think I like your idea too!

I’ll take a look at one of those electronic balances as well.

All you need is a set of fairly accurate bathroom scales, a tape measure and paper and pencil plus the calculator on your I phone.

Takes minutes , very accurate.

Never saw a real jet on a wooden trestle !!

Yep, some simple algebra/subtraction/addition and nothing to it!

I just don’t have 3 bathroom scales. I fit on one! LoL!

And call Craig’s A-10 “not a real jet” one. More. Time.

And I have the perfect place for the maiden flight, lots of runway, not huge but more than enough and
I will be there to video it for sure.

The Xicoy digital weight is a really nice tool for such big planes. You just have to be careful when taking the measurements and be sure to do the balancing on a really plane surface.
When is your maiden Rav ?

You obviously don’ t understand the simple principles involved, moments!
Just one set of scales, a tape measure and thats it. No algebra, three simple multiplications and one division, thats it.

Oh yes, a piece of paper and a pencil.

Sorry you are not interested, or even curious.

You said you needed to work out how to balance your jet.

I offered you a simple quick and accurate way to do it ( as I have done with several heavy jets) and the best YOU can do is come back with a crass comment and your picture.

See ya !

ffffff
I did my initial balancing easily enough with a giant plane balancer like the photo.

Does the full scale A-10 utilize tailerons/elevons?
