I glassed the wings top and bottom at the same time. The tops of the inlets got some more glass and the bottom of the nose got a second layer.

I started glassing the intakes and the final section around the nose gear. I also glassed the perimeter of the wheel wells . Some extra work was created when I busted a few pieces off the wing tips. I was bring the plane back from our club meeting when the doorway suddenly got smaller than the wings.

That is why you should always carry an airplane tail first. So you can see what you are gonna run it into....LOL

Thanks TF.......There is no good way to glass the intakes. I can only glass them in segments. Only two small pieces left. I fixed the tips and put some glass on them. I also sealed the pockets on the flaps with some resin. I cut a foam plug for the fuel tank. It is 10" x 10" x 4". 400 cubic inches or 218 oz. Enough fuel for 12 minutes at full throttle.

This is where the fuel tank will go from the top and a look down the inlet. The receivers batteries pumps etc. will go on top of or behind the tank. The wings are also getting one more layers of cloth.

I added some material to the LE of the elevons and rudder along with some tips. Everything got rounded off and the tips got some glass to harden them. The bottoms of the flaps got glassed. the plug for the fuel tank got the corners rounded and also got a coat of paint to smooth it out.

I went on a glassing spree, both elevons both sides at the same time, the rudder both sides at the same time. the wing roots, the rudder servo hatch, more to harden the nose, and a layer on the fuel tank plug. Now I have a lot of trimming and sanding.

I trimmed down the shafts the elevons ride on. The rudder an elevons got glazed and the roots glassed. The nose got glazed along with the tank to filling pin holes. I cut a slot for the rudder control arm to ride in. I goofed around with that sensor that goes under the nose. It may be another camera so I will throw this on the table when I try to pull some glass for the cockpit.

Well its been 3 years since I started building. Hopefully I can get it in the air this season. Extra icing is going on the nose sensor. The rudder is getting the fairing with the light on the end. It is some hard 3/32nd sheeting. The recon pod got a nose job, the angle was wrong and would have run into the nose strut. It also has some square edge features that I saved with some thin plywood

Its just a slow go, gotta make everything and figure it out.......... I bolted the recon, canoe on the bottom of the fuse. and filled the gap near the tail end......I also started messing around bending some clevice pins to hold the surfaces on.

I glassed the canoe and added a pod to the bottom of it. The pod on the rudder got glassed. I started making a few cameras for inside the windows of the recon canoe.

Thanks T.F. It's not super scale but a good representation of a Vigi.... I glazed the canoe and rudder pod. I cut off the extensions on the engine mounts since I can't do much with them. I see temped the top and side view of what is behind F 20. The camera ports got frames and I messed with the cameras a little.......I had a helper in the basement and I thought with 8 legs he could get a lot done. But the rest of the family said he couldn't stay. They also called for execution. He was too impressive to swat so I let him go in the yard.

Getting the tail end to look correct is not easy on this jet. Here is 2 good shots of the rear and how far I got on my Viggy

TF what you did is what I am looking to do. Then glass the foam to harden everything. I was thinking of tracing out F 20 again and do the foam carving off the plane.

I was thinking of glassing the foam and finnish then pull molds for super lite glass parts. But starting to think that is too much work for one off. So just glass the foam and then cut them off to hollow out the foam.
